AIRLINE HISTORY
The airline was founded in 1993 and began commercial operations in 1994. It was created by a group of Venezuelan pilots and investors. It made its first flight on March 11, 1994 on the Caracas-Porlamar route, with flight number "LER-911", using a DC-9-14, registration YV-852C (s/n 45745), which was named with the name of "Aldebarán". This flight was commanded by Captain José A. Azpurua and F/O Juan J. Azpurua and Matias G. Smith. Operating the route to Margarita Island (Caracas-Porlamar-Caracas) for a long time with a single plane, it was not until the end of 1995 that they acquired a Boeing 727-200,4567 with which They expanded their national routes to cities such as Maracaibo, Barcelona, Guanare, Barinas and with international charter flights to the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curaçao and São Paulo. In its beginnings, it was characterized by offering an executive service on board its aircraft, which only had business class seats and a service that offered a wide variety of drinks in an open bar style, without any extra charge for the passenger.
